I suspect what they did was model a Harris console right down to the resistors, capacitors. "ReValver is renowned for its industry-leading amp modeling accuracy, which is achieved by modeling an amplifier down to the component level." I think so Russell, I think it's like the Peavey revalver did they write an analog summing algorithm here? I think the channel emulations we tested before only colored the individual channels and the master without really getting to the analog summing point. En cada manual normalmente se encuentra un esquema de construcción de Harrison Labs MIXBUS V2.0.2 así como los consejos de servicio de Harrison Labs MIXBUS V2.0.2. yeah, I could do that and have a 16 channel summing module. Ver todas las páginas del manual de Harrison Labs MIXBUS V2.0.2, traduce a otros idiomas. now I have visions of routing diagrams in my head.hmmmm, it's only $20.I'd need to put back in some of the I/O that I took out of the rack. And you know how I love to try to track down that "summing genie." Yeah, this occurred to me when I watched HMB's advertisement. Precision DSP algorithms developed by Harrison and used on their world-renowned large format digital mixing consoles. That's all I'm saying.Andygabrys wrote: So instead of using a Dangerous 2bus as an analogue summing module, you output your DAW submixes in real time to HMB and then back. This video demonstrates some of the basic recording methods available in Harrison Mixbus. IMO dongles can be better than some systems. But it does rely on some trust of their users. So again I'm not asking Harrison to change. Harrison were obviously aware that the appeal of Mixbus could be widened with support for additional computer platforms, MIDI and virtual instruments. Once they're authorized the just work too.

Go back to my Mac Pro? Simply move the USB dongles.Īnd I do have some plugs that use a license system like Harrison.

They worked every time I booted into any OS. But it caused me to just authorize a USB stick and be done with it.

Never mind my Mac Pro was my main machine.

At least not until I booted back into the authorized OS, de-authorize, reboot into desired OS, and authorize that OS. But if I forgot to send my licenses from one OS back to the cloud, and then rebooted into another OS, I couldn't use my waves plugs. But I was recently testing a laptop I was triple booting. And fwiw I do have a spare ilok and zdt.Īnd just for reference I was using waves cloud to authorize my computers. And I doubt ilok goes anywhere anytime soon. But I do prefer ilok to some other options. Not sure what would happen if some dongle might break and possibly some company involved would stop to exist. It's painless.Īnd if my backups don't break I'll still have them in 10 or 20 years. Just make a backup of you licenses and copy them all to the new system. Just point out there's advantages and problems with both systems.Ĭurrently there is absolutely no need to deauthorize anything with Mixbus. Is it perfect? No.Īnd I'm not trying to suggest Harrison change. As of now I have an ilok for most things and a USB stick for waves and a few others. If you can't boot it that can be problematic also. So, if you still have the old system, you have to fire it up and deauthorize it.

The two reasons for this are because 1) Im already used to mixing in Reaper, and 2. Especially when you realize you forgot to deauthorize something. My plan in buying Mixbus was mostly to use it as a final touch for my mixes. It's bad enough having to reinstall all your plugs to a new system, but then having to reauthorize them too.
